I've been living abroad for most of the last 6 years, and have now visited 23 different countries. I'm quite outgoing and moved to Japan without knowing anyone and with no Japanese. I lived in a little rural town there, studied Japanese and taught English to kids aged 13-15. I left after three years for lots of reasons, you can ask me if you like, too long winded for this box, I still love Japan though! I'm not totally against living abroad again but it's not in my plans. I still want to travel a lot though.
After some really fun jobs in the past I'm now looking for a career (hopefully at least a bit fun and interesting!), it's a bit of a mission in the current economic situation but I'm working on it! I have an administration job for now.
As for my hobbies I like to keep really busy. I volunteer with the Girl Guides Organisation twice a week and I play Japanese taiko drums twice a week too (you'll have to YouTube it or ask me if you're interested in what it is!). I've been playing drums for two and a half years now. I learnt to sail when I was 10, and taught it for three years in America, these days I go when I can (but not in the winter obviously!). I love all watersports and have done pretty much all of them at one point of another! I like to hike and camp and am fairly desperate to get back on the slopes too! I learnt some basic snowboarding skills from my friends in Japan but I am definitely a beginner! I really want to improve.
